EPAC Announces Its 2024 Season

EPAC is proud to kick off its 2024 season with Rock of Ages! This electrifying musical takes you back to the outrageous 1980s on the legendary Sunset Strip, where dreams come alive through rock ‘n’ roll. Join Sherrie and Drew as they chase fame, love, and the magic of the era’s biggest hits from bands like Journey and Bon Jovi, and all-time hit songs like “We Built This City,” “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” With a mix of romance, comedy, and high-energy performances, Rock of Ages is a must-see spectacle that will have you dancing in your seat and singing along all night long.

Following Rock of Ages, experience sizzling drama and deep-rooted tension, as we proudly present Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Set in the sultry Mississippi Delta, this powerful play takes you on an emotional roller coaster as the Pollitt family navigates their own desires, secrets, and the crumbling foundation of their relationships. As lies, greed, and unspoken truths take center stage, passions ignite, exposing the raw vulnerabilities of their lives. This battle for truth, love, and survival features intense dialogue against a rich Southern backdrop, and will leave you spellbound and questioning the true nature of love.

As the summer continues on, EPAC welcomes you to the dazzling world of Cabaret, a thrilling and seductive look at nightlife of 1930’s Berlin. Step into the Kit Kat Klub and immerse yourself in its intoxicating atmosphere where eager showgirls, charismatic performers, and a captivating Emcee transport you to a world of decadence, indulgence, and unbridled passion. As the dark shadows of political unrest loom, we follow the intertwined lives of American writer Cliff Bradshaw, the enigmatic Sally Bowles, and a vibrant ensemble of characters. With iconic music, featuring songs like “Wilkommen” and “Maybe This Time,” set to a hauntingly poignant storyline, Cabaret explores the blurred lines between love, desire, and self-expression in a world on the brink.

Following Chicken & Biscuits comes a side-splitting comedy experience when EPAC presents Chicken & Biscuits! This hilarious and heartwarming play takes you into the heart of a memorable family reunion filled with love, laughter, and a few secrets. As the Jenkins/Mabry family comes together to lay their patriarch to rest, old wounds are reopened and truths are revealed, leading to an uproariously entertaining and unexpectedly cathartic experience. Later in the fall, EPAC is proud to present the captivating world of Gypsy, the timeless musical that will transport you to the glitz and glamor of show business. Based on the real-life memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, set in the backdrop of 1920s America, Gypsy tells the captivating story of Rose, the ultimate stage mother, as she relentlessly guides her two talented daughters, Louise and June, towards fame and fortune. With a dazzling blend of toe-tapping tunes, heartwarming moments, and larger-than-life characters, Gypsy takes you on a journey of ambition, self-discovery, and the pursuit of the American dream. Finally, we have an absolute treat in store for the holiday season with our 2024 Youth Production, Elf, Jr. Based on the beloved film, this delightful musical brings the magic of Christmas to life on stage. Follow Buddy, a cheerful and oversized elf, as he leaves the North Pole in search of his true identity in bustling New York City. Along the way, he spreads joy, love, and a bit of chaos, teaching us all the true meaning of Christmas. With catchy songs, energetic dance numbers, and a heartwarming story, Elf, Jr. is the perfect show for kids and adults alike. Join Buddy and his newfound friends on a journey filled with laughter, friendship, and holiday cheer.
